The Health Products Regulatory Authority (HPRA) oversees the compliance of cosmetic products within European standards. All products meet specific safety requirements and are administered by a fully qualified medical doctor on the Irish Medical Council specialist register.

What do I need to do to prepare for my treatment?

It is important that you arrive to your appointment without make up. Any medications including over the counter medicines and supplements should be disclosed. It is important that aftercare instructions are adhered to in order to achieve best results.

Do you provide anesthetic before treatments?

Yes, we can provide pre-treatment anesthesia for clients depending on patient preference and procedure.

Can I resume normal activities after treatment?

Depending on your treatment it may be advised to avoid make up, saunas, steam rooms, vigorous exercise, high dose Vitamin C, blood thinners and alcohol for 24 to 48 hours post. This will all be discussed with you at your session.

What is the best way to maintain results?

In order to maintain your results it is advised to use a skincare regime that best matches your skin needs. Wearing SPF is crucial to protect the skin and increase the longevity of your treatment. Consuming a healthy and varied diet, rich in antioxidants, and staying well hydrated are important. Avoid smoking and excessive alcohol as these can cause products to be broken down more quickly and negatively impact skin health.

How far in advance of a big event should I start treatment?

Depending on the treatment and areas of concern this varies. For anti-wrinkle treatments it is advised to have treatment a minimum of two weeks in advance of your event. Dermal filler treatments may be carried out closer to your event. HarmonyCa results are optimum from 12 weeks post procedure. Best results from polynucleotides, profhilo and PRP are typically seen at 4 weeks, 6 weeks and 12 to 16 weeks respectively,so it is important to factor this into your treatment choice and timing.

I have a skin condition (acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, actinic keratosis, skin pigmentation, coldsores) can you address this and will I be suitable for treatments?

Absolutely, as a medical practitioner Dr Delaney can assess and treat your skin concerns in combination with your treatment procedure.
